Project Manager – Construction

Groupe SM Tardif is currently seeking a Project Manager who will work under the supervision of the Director — Project Team.

Profile sought

You hold a college diploma or bachelor’s degree in architecture, building engineering, civil engineering, or another relevant field.
You have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
You are proficient in project management principles (planning, coordination, schedule and budget tracking).
You have a solid understanding of construction standards, building codes, and manufacturing processes.
You have strong computer skills, including proficiency in project management and technical design software (MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
You are recognized for your organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership.
Experience in modular construction (an asset).

Roles and responsabilities

Participate, alongside the estimating team, in the bidding process for certain projects.
Lead the development of project plans (schedule, costs, quality, risks).
Negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements as well as contracts with certain suppliers.
Ensure rigorous monitoring of costs and schedules throughout project execution.
Foster effective and continuous communication with all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with standards and promote health and safety practices.
Plan and manage resources (labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment).
